This group workout originated in 2006 in Malibu, California & began with a group of 50+ years young women held at Malibu West Beach Club. Since my move to North Carolina in 2018 we have kept the class going via the online platform Zoom. It works great! I run the class from my home gym on M/W/F at 11EST (sometimes from Cape Fear Fitness) & anyone is welcome to join in from anywhere around the globe on their own time zone. You are also welcome to join me in person.




A multifacted fitness class designed to meet your choice of the level of challenge you desire. No matter what your fitness level might be, It is easy to participate at a high energy effort or to a less strenuous energy output.

The class begins with a warmup of various body movements covering the major 3 planes of movement ( sagittal, frontal & transverse) followed by a session of strength training using  resistance bands & dumbells  enhancing flexibility through functional range of motion of your body. Included in this session are balance exercises that stimulate the receptors in your joints that send information to your nervous system about your joint stability. In response information is sent to your muscles to control joint stability. This feedback loop improves joint stability which you see as an improvement in your balance.

The workout then progresses to a variety of exercises designed to train the following exercise variables

  •  Strength
  •  Joint Stability/Balance
  •  Agility
  •  Cardiovascular
  •  Dynamic Flexibility
  • Abdominal muscles 
  • Core musculature

At the end of the class we stretch. Taking time to increase the length of the muscles & using deep breaths to induce relaxation allows you to unwind from the workout & enjoy an overall feeling of well being.

Monthly fee: $100 for 3 x 1 hour & 15 minute sessions/week, payable by Zelle or "checks in the mail"

MULTIFIT is also an easily portable group training option for private group training which can be set up in a park, at the beach or with enough space at a private home. Fees for a private group training class will be quoted upon request.
